FAQ’s

Will it work?

There is a large wealth of evidence, continuing to increase and refine, to support the effectiveness of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) as a treatment for a number of conditions. The Government NICE Guidelines recommend CBT as a treatment for Anxiety Disorders including Social Phobia, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Panic and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

CBT is recommended by NICE Guidelines as a treatment for Depression.  Depression is a broad term but a central feature is depressed mood and or loss of pleasure in most activities. Severity is determined by both the number and severity of symptoms, as well as the degree of impairment of function. CBT is also effective as a treatment for a wide range of other areas such as relationship difficulties, PTSD, stress, motivation, reflecting on and helping a person to live the life they would like.

How long does each session last?

Each session is usually 50 minutes. For some treatments this may be longer.

How much does each session cost?

Please enquire for details. There may be additional costs for reports and similar.
